It was very busy but we received our food and service like we were the only ones in the place. There were a couple of people that came by to make sure we were happy. The server NIcole was exceptional and we never had to ask for anything she was refilling glasses and taking care of us without any prompting from us. My husband had the red snapper special for the night and it also was very good. I eat a lot of salads and this one was exceptional. I had the lobster cobb salad because I am gluten sensitive and it was delicious. Went to Coastal Flats just on a whim no recommendation and we were more than pleasantly surprised. Bottom line: We'll try it again, but probably during the week when things aren't quite so frenzied. But that's just the Saturday night frenzy.
The only downside is that the time from ordering the drinks till they actually arrive is rather excessive. Not an extensive selection, but you can probably find something that you like. Decent selection of beers and wines by the glass.
Dishes ordered ranged from meat to fish to pasta. Nothing spectacular but competent, nicely presented, reasonable portions. Later, a manager came over to discuss exactly how the selected dishes were prepared so that there would be no problem. One of our party had some severe allergies and she (our server) was very helpful in identifying dishes that would be a problem and making suggestions how dishes could be modified. The young lady that was our server was outstanding. Probably a lot more comfortable during the week.
Saturday night is a busy night, so make sure you have reservations. Fairly high noise level, but we were fortunate to be on the other side of the wall from the bar area so it wasn't too bad.
